Summer berry pudding *no bake*

Add berries and 1/4 cup of sugar and 1/4 cup of water into a pot over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
Cut bread in 1 inch thick slices and butter on side and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
Line the bottom of a dish with plastic wrap. Pour hot berry sauce in bottom my pan until the bottom is covered. Lay bread down covering the sauce. Pour more sauce over the bread and continue layer berry sauce and bread until the dish is full.
Cover with plastic wrap and place on a rimmed backing sheet. Place in refrigerator over night dish with a weighted dish on top.
